Mentorship Committee
Mentorship Committee
The committee is an active, dedicated group that devotes time in three areas: Mentorship Program, UCREW, Young Professionals. The Committee facilitates the Mentorship Program, educational initiatives with students through UCREW, and overseeing networking events with Young Professionals working in the commercial real estate industry.
Mentorship Program: A 6-month program for members that kicks off in February with the match-up event, officially starts in March, and wraps up in October. We carefully pair mentors with mentees based on interests and goals through a rotational, speed-networking event. It is then up to the mentee and mentor to decide the best method(s) of connecting throughout the program. The Committee provides tools and ideas to jumpstart the relationship and serves as a resource.
UCREW: Organize a panel and/or presentation for college students to educate them about various jobs connected to the commercial real estate industry. Attend job fairs at high schools and colleges when applicable.
Young Professionals: Networking events provide a platform to connect with peers, and industry leaders, fostering valuable relationships that can aid in career development, brand visibility, collaboration, and belonging.
Meetings occur the third Tuesday from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at First Business Bank Conference Room (11141 Overbrook Rd. Leawood, KS 66211) during the following months in 2026: January, March, June, September, and November.
